Hello there! I'm Sarah, the proud owner and photographer behind Sarah Hiltz Photography.
Based in Peterborough, I am a professional photographer with a passion for specializing in newborn and baby photography since 2018. Over the years, I have had the joy of capturing the precious moments of hundreds of babies and families, and the journey continues to bring me immense happiness.
Photography isn't just a job or career for me; it's my true passion.
Meeting new families and witnessing the joy my work brings to parents is incredibly fulfilling. As a mother of two beautiful little girls myself, I understand the significance of preserving life's little details, and I absolutely adore working with children of all ages.
Safety is paramount to me, especially when it comes to photographing newborns. To ensure the well-being of your precious little ones, I am CPR trained and certified in Newborn Safety. The combination of my love for both photography and babies led me to this wonderful path, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to create lasting memories for you and your family.
Meet Logan
A familiar and beloved presence to many, Logan is renowned as the "funny guy" behind the camera, using his dance moves to elicit the brightest smiles from your little ones. From the very beginning, he has been instrumental in handling client communications, scheduling, and much of the set design. A photography partner since day one, Logan's expertise lies in capturing cake smashes, maternity, engagement sessions, and weddings. His unique talent lies in capturing the genuine and authentic emotions of your little ones, making each session a joyful and enjoyable experience.
As a full-time photographer and an integral part of the team, Logan plays a crucial role in ensuring we can accommodate the high demand for our events and maintain our exceptional service. With a shooting style similar to mine, you can be confident that the photographs you receive will maintain the same high-quality and artistic touch, regardless of who photographs your session. Rest assured, all editing will continue to be handled exclusively by me, retaining the beloved Sarah Hiltz Photography style you adore.
Beyond photography, Logan brings a diverse background to the table. He holds certifications in wedding and event planning, including destination weddings and romance travel. Additionally, he is certified in Autism and Behavioural Science, as well as Children's Mental Health, reflecting his deep commitment to working with special needs children and adults throughout his life. His expertise and dedication enhance the overall experience for our clients and contribute to the meaningful connections we establish with families.

Is working with your spouse difficult?
No! Typically this means that while out for dinner together we are brainstorming our next photography project. While vacationing, we often use each other as our model to try new lighting and techniques, and our strong communication allows us to keep each other focused!
Do your visions ever butt heads?
Both Logan and Sarah are equally creative and a slightly differing prospective allows us to push each other outside of our creative boxes and not get too comfortable doing the same thing. This allows for new angles, new ideas and fresh ingenuity in every photo.
How does this benefit me as a client?
The husband/wife duo allows for four eyes and two productive minds on every photography project. Our aesthetics and overall vision is able to sync up perfectly. Further, this dynamic allows us to share the load, each taking on the tasks that suit our personal strengths, allows for more availability for clients and quicker responsiveness and turnaround on important matters. Both Sarah and Logan bring different experiences to the table and being able to share and divide that allows for a fun and enjoyable experience every time!
Why is the name Sarah Hiltz Photography and not both of your names?
Starting out as Sarah Smith and Logan Hiltz, we put our names together to call ourselves Sarah Hiltz Photography. As my name changed with marriage, it often seems as it is just my name, but with the brand we have already built up, the name recognition was important to us and we decided to keep the name as is!
