What is an in-home lifestyle newborn session?

A lifestyle session simply means the focus is on your natural connections as a family. While I provide posing guidance to capture the prettiest light and settings possible, I don’t physically pose baby or use any props. Instead, my storytelling style allows you to be fully present in the moment, soaking it all in. 

A lifestyle newborn session might be right for you if:

• You desire natural, candid moments documented during this sweet season
• You want just a little posing guidance without feel overly posed or staged
• Real, authentic moments that make you feel are high on your list 
• You’re seeking a minimalist approach that focuses on connections 

These sessions don’t include:

• Traditional posed newborn photos that include sleeping babies, props and specific outfits
• The use of any props. Since I focus on the documentary side, I will not be posing your baby in any baskets, blankets or bowls.
• Specific outfits, hats or accessories. Instead, baby will stay cozy in a swaddle, onesie or other outfit that he or she will actually wear at home. (I recommend keeping it neutral to really capture baby’s sweet features.)

When booking a session together, I like to keep things simple. From my style of photography to our pricing. So our packages are all-inclusive, including both full resolution images as well as a print release. Taxes are in addition to the price shown. We also offer products through my professional print lab at significantly reduced prices, to encourage printing with us. This helps to maintain the level of quality that your artistic images deserve.
